Experience.
Over 50,000 samples have been DNA profiled by DRL and a countless
number of samples have been medically tested since 1997. DRL
has extensive experience in parentage, forensic, and medical
diagnostic DNA testing. Work performed at DRL has been used
to help resolve
cases related to major crimes, child support and custody, immigration
and inheritance. The medical laboratory director of the DRL
is
an approved forensic technical leader (2001) with credible
court experience in DNA analysis. In addition, the medical
Laboratory director is also an approved CAP/CLIA and AABB medical
director
(1998). The laboratory has an established record in presenting
and executing contractual agreements at the local, national,
and
international levels.

Accuracy.
Sample collection and testing are performed strictly based
on AABB standards. All sample testing is performed exclusively
at
our location at 5819 NW Loop 410, Suite 166, San Antonio, Texas, 78238. Testing at DRL is performed by seasoned forensic
scientists.
DRL has the capacity to utilize up to 35 established STR genetic
markers in its testing, if needed, to ensure the ultimate in
accuracy.

Important questions to ask your paternity DNA testing provider:
- Is
the facility certified by AABB for parentage testing?
If the answer is NO, then the use of the phrases such as “nationally
accredited or CAP accredited” or “testing
is performed under AABB guidelines” are fraudulent
and unlawful for a lab performing legal parentage testing.
- Was
the facility able to prove its technology in the court
of law and what type of experience it has mustered
over the years?
- Does
the laboratory Director or assistants know how to interpret
DNA profiles or the statistical analysis
behind
it? Were they
ever trained to perform such tasks?
- Does
the facility send out your samples to an outside accredited
facility instead
of doing the
testing themselves?
- Is
the business involved in fraudulent activities and unlawful
practices?
