AABB
accreditation is our quality commitment to you.

AABB
Accreditation represents the minimum quality you should
seek from any parentage testing laboratory. To visit us at

accredited parentage testing laboratories.
-
Accreditation
is a feat that is falsely claimed by many laboratories,
which are not accredited. It is important to know that
there are
less than 50 AABB accredited laboratories performing
parentage testing at the national level. In contrast,
several places claiming
the feat, are either collection centers for
AABB accredited labs or performing the testing under the
umbrella of “the testing
is performed according to AABB guidelines”.
So, beware and make sure the lab is an AABB
Accredited facility and is headed by an approved
lab director.
DRL testing is performed exclusively in house and
under AABB standards that have been closely
applied and inspected
over the last eight years. Here
are some mandatory practices that AABB accredited
facilities adhere to while non- AABB
accredited labs are not required.
- The
laboratory director and lab personnel must meet stringent
AABB experience and educational requirements in order to
obtain and retain accreditation.
- AABB accredited laboratories must periodically perform external and
internal technical reviews and audits.
- All excluded parentage cases must be repeated.
- AABB accredited laboratories must submit to regular laboratory inspection
and /or audits
- All testing methods must be approved by AABB prior to use in lab
- All key laboratory personnel must complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuous
education per year.
- All
critical lab personel must
perform proficiency testing four times a year.
Not all labs are the same! Join DRL in the fight against fraudulent
paternity testing offered by some commissioned
agencies and labs.
DNA Reference Lab Guarantees the Following:
-
Never
to falsely exclude a real father. Most labs accept 99%
probability for establishing paternity.
This means 1 in 100 random
unrelated
males could be the
father. We
require at minimum 99.96% probability to establish paternity.
This will dramatically reduce
our error in
establishing
paternity
-
We
require a combined paternity
Index of 25x greater than AABB
recommended
number
of 100.
-
100%
assured confidentiality
-
A
chain of custody process
that exceeds court requirements
-
The
highest
level of
integrity and
technical capability.
-
The
best
and honest
customer service
within the industry.
